Wage theft and tax fraud is a crime that affects nearly one quarter of Minnesotans in the trades. City Leaders Against Wage Theft and Tax Fraud has organized a half day workshop specifically for city elected leaders and staff to learn more about wage theft in our communities. This event will host leaders looking for policy solutions and legal tools to deter and combat this problem. We will hear from workers and contractors about how wage theft affects their lives and business. We will also have a panel of enforcement and legal experts, including Jonathan Farris, BCA; Nicole Blissenbach, MNDOLI; Representative Zack Stephenson, House District 35; and Burt Johnson, NCSRCC General Counsel.
