Apprentice carpenters help Habitat for Humanity

Apprentices put their skills to good use during finals week to help those in need. 13 carpenter apprentices from Carpenters Local 314 in Madison, Wis. spent two days on interior work, placing floor beams and raising garage walls for a Habitat for Humanity home in Baraboo, Wis.

Instructor Curtis Jackson said the apprentices came to learn the importance of helping their neighbors. “They have a skill that’s needed in the community.”

Carpenters Local 314 is regularly involved in community service projects in Madison and surrounding areas. Read more about their work in the Wisconsin section of our blog.
