Member Engagement Program

Member Engagement Program

Dedicated to building a healthy future in our Union

The Member Engagement Program was launched by the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners (UBC) in 2025 and marks a significant evolution of traditional member committees. This initiative brings all member engagement efforts together under a single, unified framework.

For the North Central States Regional Council of Carpenters, Member Action Committees will begin meeting in September 2025 and will include all members from apprentices on. By bringing together our most active and committed members, we aim to:

  • Expand union membership and increase market share;
  • Protect good jobs, fair wages, and strong benefits;
  • Strengthen member connection, retention, mentorship, and growth;
  • Build greater collective power and organizing capacity;
  • Create more opportunities for community and political involvement; and
  • Remove barriers to member participation.

Together, we are laying the foundation for a more connected, empowered, and future-ready union.
