Members Elected to Local Office
After running such a wonderful campaign, we are thrilled to announce that Shannon Derby earned her spot on Two Rivers City Council after winning her election! Shannon now joins the ranks of twenty other carpenters that hold elected office in Wisconsin. We look forward to working with her in the future as we continue the fight for the middle class in Wisconsin. Thank you, Shannon, for remaining committed to your family, your community, and your union.

Fair Maps in Wisconsin
As a result of the election of Judge Janet and the redistricting lawsuit at the Wisconsin Supreme Court, Governor Evers has signed into law Wisconsin's first non-gerrymandered maps in over a decade. These will apply to legislative elections this fall.

Wisconsin Legislative Conference
The 2024 Wisconsin Legislative Conference took place February 28-29 at the Monona Terrace in Madison. The conference produced the highest amount of attendance in recent memory with around 200 members, guests and sponsors attending this year. In addition, members engaged in grassroots lobbying of their home district legislators at the state capitol. Keynote speakers included Governor Tony Evers, UBC General Vice President Tom Flynn and Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley. Thank you to all the locals that encouraged members to register for the conference!
